Startup Idea Generator

It's Tinder for left socks. We're pre-revenue and post-shame. Raising now.

We're building Ring for geese, but on the blockchain.

Tip: press the space bar for a fresh one. Every phrase gets its own shareable link.

What is the Startup Idea Generator?

Every great startup is just an existing app plus a weird new audience. The startup idea generator mashes famous companies with markets that absolutely did not ask for them, then adds a business model, a valuation, and a founder bio.

Use it for hackathon brainstorming, startup pitch parodies, Shark Tank party games, or to feel better about your own idea. If you actually build one of these and raise money, we'd like 2% and a hoodie.

How to use it

  1. Click Pitch Me.
  2. Say it to an investor with your hands in a steeple.
  3. When they ask about revenue, say "we're focused on growth right now."

Frequently asked questions

How do startup idea generators work?

Ours combines a well-known company (Uber, Airbnb, Tinder) with an unexpected market, plus a business model and a valuation. The formula "X for Y" is how many real startups are pitched.

Has anyone built one of these ideas?

Several of them are suspiciously close to real companies. We cannot legally say which ones. (It's the dog one.)

Can I use these for a hackathon?

Absolutely. Generate ten, pick the one that makes the team laugh hardest, and build that. It will win "Most Creative" at minimum.
